Civil/Environmental Engineer opportunity with MacKay Sposito in Helena, MT, focused on environmental work.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform environmental and civil engineering tasks, including remedial designs for projects within the Silver Valley of Idaho and Western Montana.
- These designs include conducting alternatives analyses, preparing sampling plans, preparing construction drawings and specifications, preparing bidding documents, and managing construction projects.
- Work collaboratively with other engineering disciplines within MacKay, including structural, geotechnical, and water resources engineers.
- Conduct technical review and project management for engineering deliverables, schedule, and invoicing.
- Manage and mentor junior engineering staff.
- Prepare and review technical reports.
- Develop scopes of work and budget estimates for conducting engineering projects.
- Manage junior staff performing construction observation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related discipline
- Montana P.E. license
- 5-10 years of experience in Federal and State environmental regulations or related design experience in heavy civil or earth-moving projects.
- Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels and cross-functionally
- Ability to collaboratively solve complex technical problems
- Experience with proposal development, cost estimating, and determining specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
