Job alerts

When you create a job alert, we store your email address, selected discipline and state, consent date, subscription status, a coarse signup-page category and a random unsubscribe token. We use this information only to operate civil engineering job alerts and measure aggregate subscriber growth. We do not store a referrer with the subscription or sell subscriber information.

Employer submissions

Employer contact emails are stored privately in Cloudflare D1 for submission review and promoted-listing follow-up. They are not included in public job pages or public review requests.

Candidate referrals

We no longer ask candidates for their name or email before they apply; every job links straight to the employer’s application. Referral records collected before October 17, 2026 are kept only to settle those referrals and are not sold or used for job-alert marketing. To have yours deleted, contact hi@civilengineerjobs.net.

Measurement

We count page views with our own cookieless counter. For each page view it records the page, the referring site (its domain only), any UTM campaign tags in the link, the country and the device type (phone, tablet or desktop), and adds them to daily totals. It stores no cookies, IP addresses or identifiers, so individual visitors can't be told apart or followed between pages. Job pages also count daily job-detail views and outbound application clicks the same way, without cookies or IP addresses. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits and page speed without cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or advertising trackers.
