Highway/Roadway Engineer opportunity with Langan Engineering & Environmental Services in Fort Lauderdale, FL, focused on transportation work.
Responsibilities
- Geometric designs of highways, freeways, and local roads using national and local codes;
- Concept layout and preliminary design of roads;
- Preparation of construction plans;
- Preparation of Traffic Signalization drawings and plans;
- Design of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements;
- Design of roadway drainage networks and preparation of stormwater management plans;
- Construction specifications review and estimating costs and quantities;
- Preparation of Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Plans (MPT);
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering;
- 3+ years of work related experience;
- PE or EIT certification working towards a PE (preferred);
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D;
- Familiar with FDOT Standards and Specifications;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities;
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment; and
